Overview

We are seeking a Lead Automation Engineer to join our Network Product Services (NPS) team, where you will extend and enhance our automation platform with a focus on Day 0 and Day 1 network service automation capabilities.

In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of automated service delivery solutions that improve operational efficiency, consistency, and scalability across our network product offerings. You will work within a cross-functional Agile delivery team comprising network domain experts, software developers, architects, and product owners, combining strong software engineering expertise with an understanding of automation-driven service delivery and modern application development practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and enhance Day 0 and Day 1 automation workflows and platform capabilities
  • Implement service automation solutions supporting network product provisioning and lifecycle management
  • Develop, test, and maintain software components within the NPS automation stack
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, developers, and subject matter experts to deliver automation initiatives
  • Translate business and technical requirements into scalable automation solutions
  • Contribute to system architecture, technical design, and solution implementation activities
  • Ensure code quality through testing, peer reviews, and adherence to engineering best practices
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
  • Support continuous improvement of automation frameworks, development processes, and deployment methodologies
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation for delivered solutions

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software development experience with proficiency in .NET/C#, Java, and Kotlin
  • Expertise in Spring Boot and TypeScript
  • Background in designing and implementing automation solutions within enterprise environments
  • Knowledge of modern API development and microservices architectures
  • Familiarity with Agile software delivery practices and experience working in cross-functional engineering teams
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities
  • English proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher

Nice to have

  • Experience in network automation or telecommunications environments
  • Understanding of infrastructure-as-code, automation frameworks, and network service provisioning and lifecycle management concepts
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Skills in cloud-native application development
  • Relevant industry certifications in software development, cloud technologies, or automation technologies
