Own and mature the company's live multi-PSP payment stack, improving approval rates, renewals, reporting, reconciliation, monitoring, and incident management. The role has a direct, measurable impact on subscription revenue.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage payment infrastructure, including orchestration, routing, cascading, failover, MID portfolio, and processing resilience.
  • Improve subscription billing performance across approvals, renewals, retries, dunning, failed-payment recovery, and involuntary churn.
  • Build billing analytics with the Data team and develop reliable reporting, reconciliation, monitoring, alerting, and incident processes.
  • Manage payment risk, including chargebacks, fraud, refunds, disputes, and compliance with card scheme monitoring programs.
  • Own day-to-day PSP and acquirer relationships; advise on provider strategy, selection, and diversification.
  • Work with Billing Engineering on requirements and collaborate with Product, Growth, Finance, and Legal.
  • Introduce automation and AI tooling into payment operations where it reduces manual work.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years in payments, acquiring, billing, or payment operations on the merchant side of B2C subscription products.
  • Hands-on experience with recurring payments, multi-PSP infrastructure, orchestration, routing, cascading, failover, and MID management.
  • Strong understanding of payment risk, reporting, and PSP selection and onboarding; demonstrated impact on approval, renewal, or recovery rates.
  • Experience with Tier 1 markets, especially the US, and across multiple products, entities, or jurisdictions.
  • Upper-Intermediate English or higher. People management experience is a plus.

We offer: Full ownership of the payment stack, high autonomy, engineering support, close collaboration with founders and C-level, and a path to Head of Payments as the company scales.
