🚀 About the project

We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Engineer to help develop and scale an enterprise-grade AI platform designed for regulated and mission-critical environments.

The platform supports both SaaS and on-premises deployments, including environments without internet access.

You will take end-to-end ownership of backend services, from API and data-model design to production deployment, reliability, and observability.

🧠 Your responsibilities

  • design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python

  • take ownership of services from design through production readiness

  • develop data models and scalable backend architectures

  • ensure service reliability, performance, and observability

  • lead technical reviews for new services and major changes

  • support solutions deployed in SaaS, on-premises, and air-gapped environments

  • collaborate with product, security, and engineering teams

🧩 Must haves

  • 5+ years of commercial backend development experience

  • strong, hands-on expertise in Python, including asynchronous programming

  • experience designing and operating production-grade backend services

  • solid understanding of distributed systems, caching, queues, retries, and idempotency

  • experience with API design, data modelling, and observability

  • proven ability to take end-to-end ownership of backend services

  • practical experience with LLMs and modern AI tooling in software product development

  • good understanding of scalable system design and production reliability

  • good command of English

✨ Nice to have

  • experience delivering on-premises applications, including packaging and upgrades

  • knowledge of authentication, authorization, secrets management, and secure coding

  • experience with Kubernetes and GitOps

  • knowledge of Terraform or Pulumi

  • contributions to open-source projects

  • Arabic language skills
