Job Description

Job Profile: Principal Product Manager – Swiggy Dineout
Location: Bangalore | Karnataka
Experience: 7 - 10 years

About the Team & Role

Swiggy Dineout is envisioned as the go-to dining out platform connecting millions of consumers with top restaurants, nightlife spots, and curated culinary experiences. As the Principal Product Manager for Swiggy Dineout, you will own the core consumer-facing surface areas - driving end-to-end user discovery, engagement, and conversion across the Homepage, Search & Discovery and booking/payment flows.

This is a high-impact leadership role that demands sharp B2C product thinking, deep e-commerce/food-tech discovery intuition, and a passion for creating seamless, hyper-personalized offline-to-online dining experiences at scale.

What will you get to do here?

  • Define Core B2C Vision & Strategy: Own and drive the long-term product roadmap for Swiggy Dineout’s primary B2C surfaces, including Homepage discovery, Search, Navigation, Filter/Sort frameworks.

  • Master Discovery & Conversion: Optimize consumer journeys from intent generation on the Homepage to restaurant selection, menu exploration, deal/offer discovery, table reservations, and seamless bill payments.

  • End-to-End Product Lifecycle: Lead initiatives from deep user research, user journey mapping, and ideation through UX design, technical execution, A/B testing, and post-launch optimization.

  • Personalization & Relevance Engine: Partner closely with Data Science and Machine Learning teams to build intelligent recommendation engines, personalized feeds, and location-aware search results to maximize conversion and user retention.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with Engineering, UX/UI Designers, Data Analytics, Brand & Growth Marketing, and On-ground Restaurant Operations teams to build scalable, highly engaging user experiences.

  • Data-Driven Experimentation: Design and execute robust experimentation (A/B testing) frameworks to continually lift metrics across organic discovery, click-through rates, conversion rate, repeat frequency, and total dining GMV.

  • Stakeholder Alignment & Leadership: Navigate complex cross-functional environments across the broader Swiggy ecosystem to drive strategic alignment and deliver high-impact outcomes.

What qualities are we looking for?

  • 7–10 years of hands-on Product Management experience, with strong focus on high-scale B2C platforms (E-commerce, Food Tech, Hyper-local discovery, or Travel/Hospitality).

  • Core Surface Expertise: Proven track record of owning and scaling critical consumer surfaces — specifically Homepage, Search & Discovery, Merchandising, Storefronts/PDPs, and Checkout flows.

  • Consumer Intuition & UX Excellence: Strong empathy for consumer behavior, UI/UX aesthetics, and intent-driven vs. exploratory browsing patterns.

  • Data & Analytics Mastery: Deep comfort with product analytics tools, user funnel analysis, cohort tracking, and hypothesis-driven A/B testing methods.

  • Cross-Ecosystem Thinking: Ability to leverage platform-level growth loops, loyalty programs (e.g., Swiggy One), and targeted promotions to drive dining out frequency.

  • Organizational Leadership: Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.

  • Passion for Dining Out: Strong domain affinity for the restaurant, dining out, and offline entertainment space.
