Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst / Product Owner to support a healthcare data and analytics initiative leveraging FHIR standards. The successful candidate will work closely with product and development teams to define requirements, create product artifacts, and support Agile delivery. Strong hands-on expertise in FHIR resource mapping is a critical requirement for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a Business Analyst / Product Owner for a healthcare and data-focused analytics initiative
  • Serve as an SME for FHIR resource mapping, healthcare data exchange, and interoperability requirements
  • Develop user stories and effective acceptance criteria using Gherkin and Agile user story formats
  • Create process flows and source-to-target mappings
  • Define data transformation requirements and data quality rules
  • Partner with the product team to develop and refine product artifacts
  • Ensure requirements are ready for sprint planning, prioritization, and story refinement
  • Leverage AI-enabled productivity and development tools to accelerate analysis and documentation

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of general IT experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst and/or Product Owner within Agile teams
  • Hands-on expertise in FHIR standards and FHIR resource mapping
  • Background in healthcare data exchange and interoperability requirements
  • Proficiency in writing user stories and Gherkin-based acceptance criteria
  • Skills in source-to-target mapping, data transformation, and data quality requirements
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills
  • English proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher

Nice to have

  • Experience working on healthcare data or analytics initiatives
  • Knowledge of the Healthcare & Life Sciences domain
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled tools for analysis, documentation, and delivery activities
  • Understanding of data quality principles and practices
