Areg.AI is hiring an experienced Electronics Hardware & Embedded Firmware Engineer to design, develop, test, and integrate custom electronic hardware and embedded firmware for robotic systems and industrial applications. The role covers the full development cycle, from hardware architecture and PCB design to firmware development, prototype testing, debugging, and production readiness.
Responsibilities:
- Design electronic circuits, schematics, and multilayer PCBs, including custom control boards, power distribution boards, and interface modules.
- Select electronic components, prepare bills of materials, and design circuits for power management, motor control, sensor integration, and communication interfaces.
- Address grounding, signal integrity, EMI/EMC, and electrical protection; prepare Gerber files and manufacturing and assembly documentation.
- Perform PCB bring-up, testing, debugging, and hardware revisions.
- Develop embedded firmware for STM32, ESP32, and other microcontrollers using C/C++.
- Build firmware for motor and actuator control, sensor acquisition, and power management; implement communication protocols, control logic, error handling, watchdogs, safety mechanisms, bootloaders, and firmware updates.
- Optimize firmware performance, memory usage, and real-time operation.
- Integrate control boards with motors, ESCs, encoders, sensors, and actuators, and interface embedded hardware with Linux-based computers.
- Diagnose electrical, communication, and firmware issues; develop test procedures and verify prototypes.
- Work with PCB manufacturers and assembly partners, support design and production improvements, and maintain technical documentation, schematics, firmware repositories, and revision history.
