CircuitHub is building models to support decisions across electronics manufacturing, including production planning, scheduling, pricing, and purchasing.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule orders, panels, and machines across factories to improve throughput and on-time delivery.
- Model work flows through the Grid factory platform, identify bottlenecks, and assess the value of additional machines or process changes.
- Estimate order costs and support pricing and lead-time decisions.
- Determine which parts and consumables to stock, when to order, and how to manage shortage risk.
- Put models into production, integrate them with planning and quoting systems, and evaluate them against actual outcomes.
Requirements:
- Quantitative background in operations research, applied mathematics, statistics, quantitative finance, economics, or a similar field, with a record of models that changed real decisions.
- Experience with optimization, such as linear or integer programming, constraint programming, or heuristics.
- Ability to build and calibrate simulations and forecasts for complex systems and assess their reliability.
- Strong Python and SQL skills; ability to write reliable, usable code.
- Use coding agents to work faster and take ownership of their output.
- Curiosity about physical manufacturing; regular visits to factories in the US and UK.
Manufacturing experience is welcome but not required.
Stack: Python, OR-Tools, simulation, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, dbt, Dagster, Claude Code, and Codex.
Location: Remote worldwide, or from the London or Cambridge offices in the UK, with regular visits to factories in the UK and US.
