Overview

Our team is on the lookout for a Senior SAP BTP/CAP Developer who brings a contemporary approach to building enterprise-grade services. You'll be entrusted with the end-to-end design and rollout of scalable, event-driven microservices hosted on BTP, tying together core SAP environments and modern cloud APIs using CAP, Node.js/Java, and solid security protocols

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of designing and building enterprise-grade microservices and extensions with SAP CAP
  • Engineer backend systems optimized for performance using Node.js and/or Java
  • Develop integration solutions bridging SAP BTP, core systems like S/4HANA, and third-party APIs through OData and REST
  • Deploy strong cloud security measures, including identity propagation and authorization controls, using XSUAA together with the BTP Destination Service

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent area of study
  • 3+ years of hands-on, relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated experience building enterprise-grade solutions using the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP)
  • Proficient in Node.js and/or Java when it comes to backend microservice development
  • Track record integrating SAP BTP alongside core SAP platforms and external APIs, spanning both REST and OData
  • Knowledge of SAP BTP security standards, XSUAA authentication, and management of destinations
  • Upper-Intermediate English language competency (B2)

Nice to have

  • Holding an SAP BTP certification, such as SAP Certified Development Associate – SAP Cloud Application Programming Model, would be regarded as beneficial
  • Prior work involving SAP Fiori elements and event-driven architecture through SAP Event Mesh
