Overview
We are seeking an accomplished IT Project Manager with expertise in the life sciences or pharmaceutical sector to lead and deliver complex technology initiatives. This role requires strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and proficiency in enterprise IT delivery methodologies, especially in regulated environments such as GxP.
Responsibilities
- Lead IT projects to ensure outcomes meet time, budget, and quality targets
- Coordinate delivery roadmaps, resource allocation, and performance tracking across multiple workstreams
- Drive accountability within cross-functional teams and proactively resolve delivery challenges
- Enforce compliance with SDLC, Agile methodologies, and project governance frameworks, including GxP standards
- Integrate AI tools into the Software Development Life Cycle for enhanced efficiency
- Identify risks and implement preventative measures to ensure continuity
- Build trust and credibility with senior client stakeholders, acting as their primary contact
- Address client business needs with strategic IT solutions aligned with goals
- Communicate transparently with stakeholders to maintain alignment through the project lifecycle
- Provide executive-level reporting and translate technical concepts into actionable business insights
- Mentor and manage project teams, fostering a culture of performance and continuous improvement
- Drive talent development and motivation across distributed teams
- Oversee portfolio budgets, forecasts, and financial compliance
- Monitor vendor performance and adherence to contracts, service levels, and quality standards
- Optimize costs while achieving high-quality results in project delivery
Requirements
- 11-15 years of experience in IT with 5+ years focused on project delivery and managing portfolios
- 4+ years of professional experience in pharmaceuticals or life sciences, including regulated/GxP environments
- Background in digital transformation, cloud migration, or application development
- Deep understanding of SDLC, Agile/Hybrid methodologies, and IT governance frameworks
- Showcase of stakeholder management and executive-level communication skills
- Experience with cross-functional and global delivery teams
